This stage of development at five or six may allow them to think about a story or who has created a show, movie, book or advertisement.
According to Common Sense Media, “Media literacy is the ability to identify different types of media and understand the messages they’re sending.” Hence, it is essential to provide young brains with the appropriate knowledge and skills they need to navigate this digital world responsibly. Through imparting these tech and media skills, children can use these resources in their learning and development. This will allow them to grow up to be knowledgeable, responsible and ethical online users.
